GetScared TV offers independent film makers, production companies, and hobbyist a way to get their works in front of the eyes of millions of people in homes around the globe. In order to take advantage of our distribution network you will need to submit your broadcast ready production to GetScared TV for consideration. How do you do that? It is easy!
First, you need to ensure that the video is complete and ready to be broadcast. The video should be rendered in either 480p (standard definition), or 720p/1080p (high definition) using the H264 video codec and the AAC audio codec in an MP4 container. We have no idea what video editing software you are using, so we can not tell you how to do this part. Please consult the help section of your software for information on the different encoding formats. If you require additional information on encoding/transcoding there is a wealth of information available online. Click here to view one such resource.
Once you have your video ready you will also need to create a thumbnail graphic to represent your video on our various channels. The image needs to be 304×247 pixels and in either JPG or PNG format. This image can be as simple as a screen capture of your title frame or a custom designed graphic. Please see the examples for reference.
Once you have all of your content formatted and ready for submission, and if you haven’t already, create your Get Scared TV Contributor account. All accounts must be approved by Get Scared TV before they become active. We will notify you by email once we have activated your account.
When you receive notice that your account has been approved and is active you may start submitting your content to Get Scared TV via our submission form. We limit uploads to 1GB (1000MB) so make sure that your video is no larger than this before using this form. If your video is larger than 1GB please contact us so that we can arrange alternative submission methods.
After your content has been submitted, our staff will review the content and make a distribution/publication decision within 7-14 days.
That is all there is to it. So what are you waiting for? Let’s scare some people.
